- Cancel anytime. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- If your trial or plan ends, Anser becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted.
- What you write in Anser is yours.
Using Anser
These terms are an agreement between you and Anser (“we”, “us”). You sign in with your Google account and you’re responsible for what happens under it. You need to be at least 13 to use Anser.
Your free trial
New accounts get 14 days free, with no card required. We’ll remind you in Anser before the trial ends. If you don’t choose a plan, Anser becomes read-only: you can still see everything, but you can’t add or edit until you pick a plan. You get one free trial per account.
Plans and billing
Anser costs $10 a month or $95 a year, charged in advance. Friends & Family costs $20 a month or $190 a year and covers the person who pays plus up to 4 others, each with their own Anser. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If you choose a plan during your trial, you won’t be charged until the trial ends. Payments are handled by Stripe. If we ever change prices, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel anytime in Settings › Plan & billing › Manage billing. You keep full access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. After that, Anser becomes read-only and keeps your data. Payments aren’t refunded. If something went wrong with a charge, email hello@anserplanner.com within 14 days and we’ll look into it.
Friends & Family plans
The person who pays manages the plan: they can invite people, and remove them at any time. Invite links work once and expire after 7 days. Everyone on the plan has their own private Anser; the person who pays sees members’ names and email addresses, never their calendars. If you leave or are removed, you keep everything you’ve made. If the plan ends, everyone on it keeps access until the end of the period that’s been paid for. Friends you plan with in Shared Life can join shared calendars for free.
Your content
Everything you add to Anser, from events and goals to reviews and reflections, belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run Anser for you. When you share a calendar, the people you add can see and, if you let them, edit it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Your Google Calendar
Anser changes your Google Calendar only when you ask it to, such as when you create, move, or decline an event. You’re responsible for what’s sent from your calendar, including messages to other people.
Fair use
Please don’t use Anser to break the law, harass or spam anyone, get into other people’s accounts, or overload, copy, or reverse-engineer the service.
Changes and ending
Anser will keep changing as we improve it. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you before it takes effect. You can stop using Anser and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and we’ll tell you why when we can.
Legal terms
Anser as it is. We work hard to keep Anser running well, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise more than these terms say, including that Anser will always be available, error-free, or right for a particular purpose. Your Google Calendar stays your calendar of record.
Limits on our liability. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or a missed appointment. Our total liability for any claim about Anser is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
Your responsibility. If you use Anser in a way that breaks these terms or the law, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim.
The law that applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in New York City, New York, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Your rights as a consumer. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live that can’t be changed by agreement.
The whole agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Anser. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part right away, we haven’t given it up.
